Manti and Father's Day

This is in Manti for the Mormon Miracle Pageant. It was a lot of fun. We went down with our friends, the Warner's. We stopped in Ephraim to get some pizza and ice cream! Alyson and I both went to school at Snow (me for one year, and Alyson for two) And we were craving Fat Jacks pizza (although they since have changed the name, we found out, but same pizza it's called Roy's) and Pollie's ice cream. If you ever get a chance to go down there, you have to stop for the food. Then we went to the pageant. It was perfect weather, considering how rainy it has been lately! We got back late that night, but it was worth it. It was nice just to get out, it felt like a mini trip!

For Father's Day, my sister-in-law Jill had a great idea of planning a day our husbands could play in a volleyball tournament together. They both love volleyball and have played in tournaments together before, so it was the perfect gift. We were trying to decide how we could give them the gift, but surprise them at the same time, so I came up with playing "Deal or No Deal". We have it on the Wii and EmmaLee loves to play it, so I decided to make it a reality. Jill and I got together and made all of the paper's for it and we totally had them surprised. We had a BBQ and then afterwards we had them pick a case and start playing! We bought food prizes and it went up and down depending on their cases. It seriously was so much fun, and the guys did surprisingly good, we had to up the prizes! But in the end they only had the $5 case! Ha ha! But they did their gift, and it was a ton of fun! I think we'll try to play it again sometime. Happy Father's Day!

Don't we look just like the Deal or No Deal models??

Just a thought on Blogging... Good and Bad

So I was thinking... (that could be scary!) Why do I love blogging?
I love it because it gives me a chance to organize my thoughts and and pictures into one place where I can share with friends and family. Especially those family/friends who live out of state and I don't get to see very often. And secondly, I am a very bad journal writer! I can type much faster than I can write and I enjoy that I get to put pictures with it, because pictures can say things much better than words. And third, I love seeing other's people's blogs because it helps me feel like I am a better friend because I have a little more insight to their lives/feelings.
But here is the bad thing that I have been thinking about lately...
Most people (like me, especially) only post things that are fun and good. Of course there are sad moments people post, like death, sicknesses... etc. But most people don't post exactly how you feel, or what's really going on because you think that no one wants to hear about the small, bad or sad things you are going through in life. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm just saying you could look at a blog and think that this person, or family has everything and are perfect... but not really know how they are doing because you're only looking at a small portion of their life and cute pictures! Not many people are going to post a bad picture, on a bad day.
Anyway... What I am trying to say is (1) everyone has super cute blogs and pictures and I get jealous sometimes and want their life! But then I have to remind myself that no one is perfect and I need to live my life the best way I can because I do have a wonderful family (I'm not going to lie, I do!) (2) I realize that I do need to keep a Journal on the side because I can't truly express myself to the fullest by just blogging. Because I do have those sad moments in life that I don't necessarily want to share with the world. (3) Blogging is great, because I can post my opinion, just like this, and people can agree or disagree and that's okay! This is just how I'm feeling at the moment.
