Lights!

In the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, to take a break and get away from the cold, they have some fun kid activities and old fashioned toys. As you can see, my kids loved it!

Also, if you go into the Joseph Smith History Building, they take your picture and e-mail it to you.

We got to go and see the lights at Temple Square. The best part about it, if you ask Carter, was riding the Trax train! He wouldn't smile for a picture because all he wanted to do was look out the window and scream as other trains went by! He loved it, as well as EmmaLee!

The gorgeous lights in the background!

They were trying to make silly faces!

More gorgeous then the lights are, of course, the temple!

I wish the tree right in front would have been lit up, it would have made for a better picture, however I still feel like a got a good one. It was a very cold night, but such a fun tradition!

Thanks Again

I feel like I'm in debt to so many family and friends. The out pouring of love and concern for us, when we lost our baby, was absolutely amazing. I've never been shown so much love and I don't know how to tell you thank you! But THANK YOU, know that every thought, smile, greeting, gift was more than appreciated. I just wish I could show my thanks better.
With Lots of Love,

The Scott's

Thankful

I am so so Thankful for my two beautiful kids! After losing our baby this month, I feel like my life has changed a lot. My perspective on life is different. Life is so precious and I can't be more grateful for two healthy children. Neil works at the hospital and helps people get better every day, however there are people who don't make it, in all situations of life. We've learned that we can't take life for granted, and to appreciate our family while we're all together. It's been a rough month for all of us, however it has helped me to be even more grateful. This month has been one to remember.

EmmaLee and Carter run around the house, and then when they get to a certain spot, they have to hug! They come up with some cute games!

We decided to put up the Christmas tree on the Monday before Thanksgiving, since we would be out of town. Every time Carter sees a Christmas tree he yells in excitement!

We went to Idaho this year for Thanksgiving. This was the place setting for each person. Everything was so colorful and beautiful!

So thankful

I think we had 19 people this year for dinner, my parents did a lot of work!

Uncle Bob, cutting the turkey

A few of us, enjoying dinner.

Every Thanksgiving, it's been our tradition since as far back as I remember, we play Bingo! Joe and Shannon had the prizes this year, yum!

Carter didn't want to have to play, to get a prize, he just wanted a prize! Luckily, it didn't take too long before he got to win... Thanks to Jodie!

My Dad, and his only son, Joe. He had eight daughters before he got him!

Awaiting our turn at winning Bingo.

My mom

My two sister's Judy and Janet, and two of my nieces Alex and Christi

On Friday, for dinner before we headed back to the Hotel, a few of us went to Burger King for dinner. We had to get some energy before we took a swim in the pool.

EmmaLeee LOVED LOVED having floaties! She was able to be more independent in the water and swam free.

Carter's favorite thing was to jump over and over and over again in the water.

They were trying to play crack the whip in the pool! It doesn't work as well in the water!

I mostly just hung out in the hot tub. The pool was a little to cold for me, I'm a wimp when it comes to being cold.

We had to keep our eye on Carter. Since he wouldn't keep his floaties on, we had to make sure he wouldn't jump in at any given moment.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Catching up..

In October, the Cyprus Swim Team held a swim meet for Alumni for a fund raiser. Of course Neil and all of his brothers couldn't pass up a swim meet! They had the best time competing and swimming like they were in high school again. These are some of the grand kids watching their dads!

Neil, after he was finished, which I have to say he won a couple events!

Our Family Halloween Costumes. Can't you tell who we are? Of course, Rupunzel, Flynn Ryder, the King and Queen!

Carving pumpkins!

Scary!!

Rupunzel and Flynn. Ready to go Trick-or-Treating!

So, I think this is now one of Carter's favorite holidays! He LOVED it! Free candy? Please, you don't have to ask him twice!

Don't we look lovely..

Our newest Nephew, Ashton! So cute.. born on October 18th.

On November 10th, Chick-fil-a opened another store in Sugar House. So of course, we had to wait in line to get the goods! 24 hours in the freezing cold!!

WaHoo!! Erica and I got 52 free combo meals to use and share!!

Good Morning Neil!

More of sweet Ashton.

Family Pictures!

Thanks so much to Jill Scott, my sister-in-law, who made us look so good!! (Her blog is under my favorites, you can check her out) We went to Wheeler Farm, and I thought the pictures turned out great. I was really worried that Carter wouldn't cooperate, but he did better than I thought. There was rocks and water, and he was entertained all night! Fall just seems like the perfect time to get take pictures, and I'm so glad I did, since the weather seems to be changing cold.
